Joe Walter, Editor-in-chief

My name is Joe Walter, MD. I am a board-certified ER doc in the Twin Cities who is interested in teaching asynchronous medical education with the philosophy of teaching others to teach themselves.

I am also board-certified in undersea and hyperbaric medicine and work some of my time at the hyperbaric chamber at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. I have a separate site dedicated to diving and hyperbarics which you can check out here if you're interested.

As for backstory I did med school at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO and my emergency medicine residency at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN before going on to do a hyperbaric medicine fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. I continue to work at both of these locations as well as several community emergency departments in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin with an emphasis on medical education and providing tools to future providers to encourage life-long learning and growth.
